The Tadeusz Bradecki Tiny Literary Gathering, a micro festival organised by the Tadeusz Bradecki Foundation, had its first iteration in March 2026.
Novelists, poets, artists and musicians gathered on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula to celebrate Tadeusz Bradecki, who owned a derelict building there, now restored.
Contributors included the award-winning novelists Francis Spufford and Clare Pollard; poets Mike Sims, Julia Bird and Helen Bowell; and musicians Roger and Freddie Thorp. The Lizard based folk singers Odds ‘n’ Sods led a rousing evening of sea shanties.
The aim is now to establish the festival as an annual event, expanding it to a three-day programme involving local Cornish writers, those associated with the Prize, and incorporating book-to-screen events informed by Tadeusz Bradecki’s performance background.
